Professional Recommendation of David Burrell. I have known David for 3 years, beginning when I became his manager in February 2006. His laid back personality, sense of humor, and dedication to teamwork make him a valued and respected member of the team. David’s teammates and partners rely on his technical expertise and understanding of the customer to make critical business decisions. During the time I managed David, he was regularly rated a strong performer on the team. He consistently met expectations and often exceeded them.
David was instrumental in identifying and driving product quality improvements across several switch and HBA products. He also sponsored multiple design improvements that increased remote supportability through improved fault isolation and improved the ability of customer’s to address product issues without HP intervention by developing automated troubleshooting tree’s. His work had a material impact on warranty cost and improved product profitability.
David thrives in environments that require problem solving and analytical thinking. He is very coachable, seeks candid and open feedback on his performance, and acts to improve in area’s needing further development. David is the one person on my team that is most proud to work for Hewlett Packard. This comes across in his attitude during and outside the work day.
